This incident resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
