Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
